STREET ROD BUILDER - September 2003
Recipe For Success - The toughest changes may
go unseen, but they still make this usual Vicky Pleasing to look at and
to drive - Here's how it all went.
Words - Stephen K. Anderson
Nobody ever said good things easily, or quickly,
as anyone who has ever built his own car can attest. For the most part,
once a car sits for more than a year or so, the chances for completion
diminish greatly, yet this one car that prevailed, making it a rare
commodity indeed.
By working closely with the car's owners, we
are able to provide an
in-depth look at almost
every step of the build process. If you ever
thought something was beyond your reach,
this succession of photos may
help you get
started on your project.
Many details are covered, and
with every color photo you get a further
u
understanding of the project's intent, the effort put into its creation, and
the
the care that has been
taken in refining the unique '31.
We considered ourselves lucky to have been able to follow the creation
of this car, which had everything to do with the builders and owners
keeping photo records to keep track of their construction process, In
doing so, they brought many valued lessons to enthusiasts, some of whom
can follow in the same tracks and build their own expression of unique
rodding creativity.
